As the title says, this is the full backstory summary of "All My Life," a Klonoa/Undertale crossover and the rebooted origin of Super Klonoa.

Long story short: Klonoa and Asriel Dreemurr are the same character. The one and the same. The former is the reincarnation of the latter.

---

A thousand years ago, the true pacifist events of Undertale had happened. A tale of fallen humans, wacky monsters, and a genocidal flower who was driven insane by being a soulless husk who could not feel anything and could not understand the feelings and actions of others.

Yet when he got his hands on the six human souls and the souls of every monster in the underground, and when the seventh human tried to reach out to him, only then he could understand and realize the errors of his actions, releasing all the souls he had captured.

He would've been a soulless flower again, were it not for the seventh human giving him their own soul to him, sacrificing themselves in the process. And so he was able to live a life again, having a soul that was full of determination.

This was the crazy, yet tragic story of Asriel Dreemurr. A kid who was manipulated by the first human (who he thought was a best friend to him) and had died as a result, only to be revived as a soulless flower. Looking back, it all had been one heck of an experience for him.

Life was normal for him afterward. Even new since he broke everyone out of the underground and onto the surface world. At first there was tension between the humans and monsters, but it was all quickly settled. And soon enough, Asriel discovered that he and the Dreemurr family, the so-called "boss monsters," weren't the only anthropomorphic animals in this world.

Eeyup, normal as it could be. Until one fateful night, when he learned that there was another side to this world and this universe: the dream dimension. He thought that dreams and nightmares were all in the head. Turns out they weren't and that they were as real as himself.

Asriel saw that there were many, perhaps infinite worlds in this dimension. And many of them were being overrun by nightmares. Seeing their denizens in despair, the little goat kid couldn't help but feel like he needed to help them. That was when he heard a voice that sounded quite heavenly to him.

This voice belonged to none other than the god of the dream dimension. With the nightmares having overtaken his realm, he needed someone in the waking world who was full of determination to help vanquish the nightmares. That someone was Asriel, whose soul was full of it. At first, despite the need to help those in despair, Asriel doubted his own abilities, since he no longer had the power of the six souls. "But you do not need them," said the god. "You need only the magic that your family wields, the determination that you hold within, and this."

The god gave a gift to Asriel: a giant golden ring with a green gemstone on top of it. As Asriel later discovered, this ring had the ability to shoot blue magical bullets out of it as well as shapeshift into a hilt of a sword, with a long green stream of energy as its blade. All with the eerie feeling of being with the wind, he felt.

With this gift from the god of dreams, Asriel set out to vanquish the nightmares from these dream worlds, some of whom had no mercy or pacifism for the worlds that they invaded, he noticed, much like how he himself had acted as a flower. With every night he slept in the waking world, he was unwillingly summoned to these dream worlds. Which he didn't mind, of course, since they needed to be saved.

Thus, as more and more worlds were saved by him, the legend of the "Dream Traveler" became known throughout the dimension. The Dream Traveler, someone who is fated to be summoned to the worlds and save them from the nightmares... Asriel, hearing it, liked the title and thought it fit him and his job. But that wasn't the only title he became to be known as.

As Asriel grew in power (grew stronger with his sword skills and learning the ability to fly) and learned how to use magic on his own from his parents (growing fond of wind magic and making it his most-used type of magic), at some point in his dream traveling adventures, his clothes became severely battle-damaged to the point where there was nothing but his own white fur. Seeing his white fur and the white aura around him due to him using his power, the denizens of that world called him the "Dreamer of Light. The one whose light will vanquish the darkness." Although Asriel found it uncomfortable being literally naked at first, he later found out on his world that there were other anthro animals that lived their lives wearing nothing at all except for some accessories. Especially others who were the same kid size as him. And thus, he began to embrace it and the title of Dreamer of Light, wearing only a red scarf and red bracelets on his hands and feet.

For most of his dream traveling adventures, Asriel remained as a kid. Whether it was because of his boss monster heritage (since they're immortal and they possibly grow slow) or because of an unforeseen "curse" as a result of becoming the Dream Traveler (to fool nightmares by thinking they're dealing with just a little kid), it's unclear (a.k.a I'll leave it for some to decide on their own). What is clear, though, is that Asriel went from being the murderous God of Hyperdeath to being a hero of light, not just in dreams, but on his world as well. And onward from that point, not only did he start using wind magic exclusively, but he also begins calling his own soul of determination the "Soul of the Wind." Something that also spreads throughout the dream worlds as part of his legend.

It all went on, until one day, Asriel died as a sacrifice to save the world. Whether it was his own world or not, nobody knows. With his death, the dream worlds began to think that he simply disappeared and that he would appear again. But he never did, and luckily, they never needed him again as the nightmares seemed to be fading back into the darkness they came from. Still, in the thousand years that passed, Asriel's legacy lived on. People passed down stories about him, telling of his mighty power as the Dreamer of Light. They told everything about him. Everything, except for his name which gets lost from history.

What everyone doesn't know is this. Even though his body has turned into complete dust that has dispersed long ago, his soul hasn't. It's still whole, thanks to the strength and power it had gained as Asriel. That, and its determination. It's merely resting in the hands of the god of dreams. Shall nightmares surface in his dimension again, he will reincarnate the Soul of the Wind in a new body.

And that body will ultimately end up being that of a long-eared cat's, living in the remote village of Breezegale. Albeit with its memories locked away...

And so I will warn you, Klonoa. You will pretty much experience seemingly random flashbacks of being a murderous flower whose motto was, "Kill or be killed!" Hehe. Ah, but then, sooner or later, you will remember being Asriel and unlock your Dreamer of Light powers, regaining your old self's fur and eye colors as well as your spiked hairstyle...

At least it isn't the Chaos Emeralds anymore, right? >_>;
